Technology companies servicing the healthcare sector in Africa have secured a total of $313.486 million USD since 2019, over 75% of this figure was raised by companies offering logistics or supply chain solutions.

With large raises secured by companies offering B2B solutions directly to pharmacies, such as those offered by mPharma and Field Intelligence in 2019 and 2020, it is perhaps easy to overlook the growing number of companies offering B2C solutions. In many cases the pharmacist is the first point of contact for someone seeking medical attention, so is the healthcare supply chain ready for on-demand solutions?
